The U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship will hold a field hearing in Pensacola, Florida on Monday July 11, 2011 entitled, “A Year After the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: The Status of Recovery Efforts In Florida." The field hearing will evaluate the economic and ecological recovery status of the Gulf of Mexico a year after the oil spill by assessing the efforts of the short-term recovery effort, evaluating what is needed for the long-term recovery of the Gulf, and identifying areas where the U.S. Congress can best assist those worst impacted by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
