Business Training & Workforce Issues

Small businesses comprise 99 percent of all firms, employ half of American private sector employees and are responsible for creating two thirds of all new jobs in this country. When small firms need business training and counseling they can count on a network of Small Business Development Centers, Women Business Centers and SCORE volunteers across the country to help them turn ideas into reality. Whether it's dealing with regulations, health care, or business plans, resources are available for small firms.

In addition, the Committee focuses on issues important to helping small firms hire and keep workers, such as making health care coverage more affordable.
